Careers Information, Advice and Guidance
Mr Cook, the Careers Co-ordinator at DSLV, is available to give one to one impartial careers guidance to students. This can be accessed by appointment during registration time from Monday to Thursday. Mr Cook can also arrange one to one meetings with a representative from the local colleges for students considering taking vocational courses after year 11. These take place every other Wednesday during lessons 1 and 2.
If any student feels that they would prefer to meet with an independent adviser, not employed by the academy, we can arrange for support from a suitably qualified Connexions Adviser. To access this option, please ask for an appointment either through Mr Cook or your form tutor.
The Careers Library is also located in the LRC and contains information about useful websites, local events and vacancies.
All students have access to a careers website called ‘Fast Tomato’ which will help them to research careers, assess their suitability for careers, set targets for the future and develop a personal profile.

The closing date on the adverts below is Friday 13/5/16 but please do not let this deter anyone from applying. All applications will be considered.
